Video Games Live features a full orchestra playing live renditions of some of your favorite video gaming tunes. And it will be streaming free on Twitch this week.
Video Games Live features a full orchestra playing live renditions of some of your favorite video gaming tunes. It's quite an experience for the gaming enthusiast. However, it's not the most accessible show in the world: the tour may not visit your nearest city, or tickets might be a tad expensive.
Thanks to Twitch.tv, nearly everyone will be able to enjoy the spectacle of Video Games Live. The streaming site has announced it will broadcast the San Diego Comic Con concert free on its website.
Twenty songs will be performed at Comic Con, including new additions from Assassin's Creed 4, Destiny, and Dota 2. There will also be "new world premiere arrangements" from Diablo 3 and the Monkey Island series. The remainder of the show will include hits from Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, Castlevania, Shadow of the Colossus, Skyrim, Journey, Chrono Trigger, and more.
The concert will air on twitch.tv/twitch on July 20th, beginning at 8PM PT. However, there will be a pre-show that begins at 6PM that includes interviews with various composers, including Journey's Austin Wintory and Destiny's Marty O'Donnell.
