3dfx T-Buffer Stuff
by Steve Gibson, Aug 05, 1999 8:51pm PDTSpeaking of 3dfx, it seems the 3DLabs guys think their clever and have come up with a "tea-buffer" which emulates the t-buffer effect which 3dfx revealed. The 3DLabs version uses up 4 times the fill rate, but at least they tried. While you are at it check out this page which Mike Murray sent in also attempting to emulate the same effect.
