Splinter Cell Blacklist walkthrough trailer fights fires

You may know Sam Fisher as a gruff super-spy, but in his home town he's friendly Fireman Sam from the volunteer fire brigade. A new 'walkthrough' trailer for Splinter Cell Blacklist (more the heavily-edited highlights than a walkthrough) shows Sam fighting fires and chasing terrorists, with varying degrees of stealth.

Yes, Blacklist certainly continues the trend towards the cinematic rather than the systemic, looking very much a Hollywoodian man-stabbing modern spy flick. It's about recreating how cool spies look in films, rather than the tension we here at home imagine Sam would feel. Which is all good and well, certainly, but it's a shame to see that ebb out the genre.

Splinter Cell Blacklist comes to PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U on August 20.
