Sony's delightful animal eat 'em up Tokyo Jungle is moving from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation Mobile. That means you'll be able to play the post apocalyptic mating game on Vita and select Android devices.

According to Siliconera, the Mobile version of Tokyo Jungle will feature a top-down perspective instead of the side-scrolling one used in the PS3 original. This suggests that this is a new game, rather than a straight-up port.

Update: PSNStores has confirmed that the Mobile game will be available in the US on July 10th as well. It will launch for $2.99.

That's disappointing....I was hoping for a more faithful port of the original for the PS Vita.

          Because Playstation Mobile.

I'm honestly surprised they are bringing it to PSM. It has so many technical restrictions on it. No back-panel touch for Vita. ~96MB RAM limit. Plus tons of performance variation across multiple machines.

I can see why they would have to trim down the game for PSM.
