Klei Entertainment has announced its next game, a turn-based tactical espionage game called Incognita. Details are sparse so far, but a link on the site implies an ARG will reveal more information.

Klei tweeted the announcement with a link to the official site. It's bare-bones, only consisting of a mailing list sign-up and some wallpapers, while a link in the bottom-right corner opens up a numbers station. I couldn't make heads or tails of what happens when hitting the "Decipher" button, but I'm sure those with a head for codes and math are working to unravel the clues. Our top men are on it! Top men!

Klei found success recently with its Shank action series, but has shown some versatility with the stealthy Mark of the Ninja and Don't Starve. This looks like the studio is once again reaching into unfamiliar territory.

Klei are really making a name for themselves. They just seem to be pumping out cool original ideas and so far, executing on them brilliantly.

These guys have consistently delivered good software, better and better. I cant wait to play this game since conventional modern spy games in any genre are sorely under-represented. I cant think of only a few, sid meier's covert action and Alpha Protocol. Pretty sad going back almost 20 years of gaming.
