French indie start-up Seavan Studio has announced its first project, a physics-based puzzle-platformer named Ethan: Meteor Hunter. The game stars Ethan, a rodent who was struck by meteor fragments that gave him superpowers. He can move objects around at will, and freeze time, as he makes his way through the stages. It will be coming to PC and PlayStation 3 later this summer.

According to a PlayStation.Blog post from Seaven co-founder Olivier Penot, Ethan was in production at Hydravision, who had worked on the 2008 Alone in the Dark. When Hydravision closed down in September, seven of the studio's members got together, bought the IP, and continued the project.

Ethan is offering a free alpha demo on its official site, and has also set up a Steam Greenlight page to give feedback on the demo.
