Another eight games get the Greenlight on Steam

As lovely as Steam is, it's a shame that many people refuse to buy games not on Valve's store when indie developers need to jump through hoops to get on there. Another eight games have manager to clear the Greenlight process and secure a Steam release, including Guncraft, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller, and Super Motherload.

The eight games approved are: adventure games Cognition and Homesick; mine 'em up Super Motherload; platformer Vector; survive 'em up Day One: Garry's Incident; World War 1 FPS Verdun; Minecraft-with-guns shooter Guncraft; and In Verbis Virtus, a curious game where you cast spells by speaking aloud into a microphone.

More plain old regular software has made it through too, in the form of music production software FL Studio, game maker Leadwerks 3, and the self-explanatory Actual Multiple Monitors.

In case you're hazy on how titles are Greenlit, Valve explained again: "Votes in Greenlight give us a hugely valuable point of data in gauging community interest along with external factors such as press reviews, crowd-funding successes, performance on other similar platforms, and awards and contests to help form a more complete picture of community interest in each title."

As ever, all these will be released on Steam as they're ready.
