Every year, dozens of video game outlets--Shacknews included--vote on their favorite games from E3. The Last of Us won last year's awards, and that turned out pretty good. But what will take home the crown this year? Before the judges decide the ultimate winner, the organization has released this year's "Best of" nominees.

Titanfall takes not only the most nods this year, but ever in the history of the organization. Other top contenders include Destiny and Watch Dogs. Electronic Arts is the most nominated publisher of the year, with 16 nods. Finally, Xbox 360 is home to the most nominated games, with 37 nominations total, proving that current-gen is still a pretty great bet for gamers.

As soon as I noticed that The Division isn't listed at all, every site listed in that picture lost all credibility. It may not necessarily have won anything, but the fact that it's not even listed is pretty terrible.

I'm not angry, even though it sounds like it, it's just weird that I hear all this talk about The Division and then gaming sites dismiss it like it wasn't even there.

        Gerrymandering.

Not playable, therefore not eligible. A game must be playable for the judges, in order to be considered.

If the article said playable games, then I wouldn't have posted.

It's weird because I've heard both that it was and it wasn't playable. I think it was on GameTrailers (ie. they contradicted themselves O_o)

They were not openly letting people play it behind closed doors. Not enough people got hands on time to allow it to qualify for voting.

Also, MGS5 and The Division did not allow hands on time at all, so therefore it was ineligible.

it makes sense. voting a trailer best game of E3 seems kind of lame.
