TrackMania 2 Stadium released

TrackMania 2 Stadium's release has slid around a lot like someone driving a car badly (note the clever simile), from "early 2013" to April, then May, but it finally launched yesterday. The $9.99 race 'em up brings back the classic Stadium environment you may have zoomed around for yonks in the last game's free version, TrackMania Nations Forever.

If the dusty desert of TrackMania 2 Canyon wasn't to your taste, go, drive free with fancy new cars, levels, and track pieces. TM2 Valley is in the works too.

TM2 Stadium is available through on Steam and the official site.

can you play this on easy baby tracks only and not the puzzle ones from hell that kept coming up in the beta?

the ones in the beta running on servers are user made tracks... not the official tracks that Nadeo made.

I really liked the previous Trackmania, where I could buy the whole game at once, and not collect small chunks of it once a year or something. I guess I will just wait until they finally have finished product to offer, with all environments included.

Based on how you have to quit Canyon and launch Stadium I don't think they're all going to be merged into one real product and all work together. It's kind of lame.

I think that only applies to Steam as it installs them in separate folders. If you download the Maniaplanet client and install it from there it's all in the same place.

They didn't integrate that well with Steam.

United was the best, I didn't really like all the environments but could play Coast for hours. This micro release stuff is not interesting to me. Already played stadium enough.

I think Sunrise is the best TrackMania game to date.
