A "Sea of Sorrows Scavenger Hunt" lets you search for the locations of 12 plaques, tying into a novel of the same name that will hit the same day. The update will also bring new rewards from the Aetherblade pirates, and First Mate Horrik mini-companion.

New features coming int his update include a large balance patch with updates to various traits and skills across all classes, along with Custom Arenas and Spectator Mode coming out of beta. The Mortar Mastery training will also be added.

Rift has so much more to offer. Not to mention when you played both, you'll see small similarities that was copied from Rift to GW2.

Even on Magumma I never waited more than 10 minutes during off hours for a dungeon run.

It's weird. I am a long time fan of MMO (started in UO/EQ) and since then have played at least a dozen MMO's.

Yet GW2 couldn't hold my interest for whatever reason. Compare to my last hardcore MMO (WOW),

      GW2 has:

      Better graphics
      Vastly superior combat system
      More interesting abilities
      Better balance (in PVP)
      Tournament (Arena)
WvW (DAOC style, WoW doesn't even have this)
      Monthly updates
      No monthly fee

I don't know why...I really want to like GW2 more than I currently do, but yet somehow can't.

      TLDR I'm old/broken

gw2 is boring. the entire game exists on bullet points, but it's not actually very fun at all. it's reaaal weak

I'm in the same boat now. I was one of the most motivated players on here and took up organizing WvW attacks with other guilds but ended up walking away when I had stuff come up and still don't feel the pull to go back. Then again that's part of the reason I bought it because I'm not paying a sub and can jump back in if I do feel like it.

I think in a way it's just that they play it too safe. Big bosses are too forgiving, while big character skills should be more overpowered. Stuff like that. The good thing is they improve stuff constantly and I'm sure one day the "holy shit gameplay balance" patch will be out.
