Company of Heroes 2 dev video dives into multiplayer

Relic Entertainment has released a new developer video for Company of Heroes 2, focusing on the multiplayer experience.

Company of Heroes 2 had its open beta extended earlier this week so players could beat each other up a little longer in preparation for the game's release on June 25. Relic Entertainment has released a new developer video focusing on the multiplayer experience.

The timing of the video coincides with the beta's double XP multiplayer weekend, with all experience carrying over into the game after it launches, provided players buy the game within 60 days through their Steam account.

  I honestly don't know what to think. Are these unlocks going to give the player with them an unfair advantage? All I can think about is how unbalanced these CoH games are at first. Then get corrected somewhat overtime. These unlocks seems to add even more variables to that mix.

    They add a small advantage for certain units. Like 4% increase in production or health. Those kind of things.

    They interviewed one of the lead designers last week on 3 moves ahead, he said the bonuses were fairly small to keep things competitive. They can make the difference in a long engagement, however.
