  • Hey Jeff, please read this.

I've picked a fight with you a few times in the past over how you've chosen to respond to criticism, so I thought it was only fair I tell you something.

A couple threads down, you posted this:

"I know I shouldn't respond, and I shouldn't care so much, but this is some hurtful shit in this thread.
I don't make my living doing Weekend Confirmed. I do it for fun. But I don't know why anyone would want to to put themselves through this kind of thing. It's awful. "

I just wanted to say, this reply is, frankly, beautiful. It's direct, it's non-confrontational, and more to the point, it's honest. Most importantly, it opens up a line of communication with the very people who are giving you grief. The ball is in their court as to how they respond, but either way, you can walk away knowing that at the very least, you extended an olive branch.

To be clear, I'm staying completely impartial to the argument itself. It doesn't matter to me who's "right" and who's "wrong," just that the way you handled yourself in the face of all the negativity is admirable.

Sometimes, it can feel like nobody pays you any attention until you piss them off. It can be hard to be the bigger man, I just wanted to let you know that it didn't go unnoticed.
