Etrian Odyssey is a turn-based dungeon crawler with the fun idea of making your draw your own maps. Millenium Girl updates the Nintendo DS original with 3D graphics, animated cutscenes from the folks who did Persona 4 Golden's, voiceovers, new difficulty levels, and a story mode.

Just so you know, the gameplay will be the same, but it will actually have a story with characters and cutscenes, etc. EO V will undoubtedly go back to the original formula, but if you were hoping that that element of EO IV will be in this game it won't be.

So the game plays the same but there are some cut scenes and more story? I'm fine with that. I did kind of like the way EO IV was just down the business and slimmed down, but I don't mind some story thrown in. As long as it doesn't go on for 40 screens of text... that starts to bother me.

I'm pissed I got to the last part but the game wasn't clear at all how to progress.

Do you ever need to use a secondary group of characters? I played for a while but got bored trying to grind xp for characters in a secondary party.
