Nintendo announced Wii Party U at this morning's Nintendo Direct. It will be available this October. The already-announced Wii Fit U will launch some time this winter.

Wii Party U will have 80 new minigames and feature tabletop minigames that are playable with just the GamePad.

      Why didn't they just make it a Mario Party? They are simply making a redundant IP that covers a territory already well covered by another line that has a strong IP association.
