Former staff of Team Bondi and Kennedy Mitchell Miller (KMM) have started up a new indie studio in Sydney, Australia called Intuitive Game Studios. LA Noire design lead Alex Carlyle set up the studio with storyboard artist Kelly Baigent, after we heard last month that KMM had shut down its game division.

"I really do want to stay in Australia and try and overcome the drive which is leading everyone to Canada or the like," Carlyle told MCV. "I want to stay here and make games and hopefully be able to sustain a small studio, provide employment and jobs here."

The closure of KMM's game division, which had absorbed Team Bondi, left employees in the lurch seemingly canceled its next game, Whore of the Orient. Team Bondi impressed us with LA Noire, so time will tell what a few of the same staff can do with a tighter budget.

I hope Whorient (heh) comes out eventually, uncompromised. It sounded like a really cool concept.
