Contrast casts shadows on vaudevillian Paris
by Alice O'Connor, May 24, 2013 1:15pm PDTIt was a murky world, the Parisian nightlife of the 1920s, but sometimes a little shadow can be useful when you're an 8-year-old girl's glamorous imaginary friend. Publisher Focus Home Interactive today announced it's picked up Contrast, a puzzle-platformer where you can shift into shadow to pass obstacles in the unreal world.
Contrast sees little girl Dawn in a 3D Parisian dreamscape, working with Didi by moving lights and objects to create platforms and remove obstacles for her imaginary friend in 2D shadows. You know, a bit like Echochrome II and stuff.
Contrast was announced for PC some time ago, but today's news brings word that it'll also get a downloadable release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It'll arrive towards the end of 2013.
