Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance coming to PC

When Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was still Metal Gear Solid: Rising, it was supposed to be coming to PC as well as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Then, the PC edition was silently ditched. Metal Gear Solid overlord Hideo Kojima supposedly announced it during the latest episode of his podcast but, as we don't speak Japanese, we'll go with the confirmation from Platinum creative director Jean Pierre Kellams.

"I am excited to see Rising hit the PC," Kellams said on Twitter, directing any further questions to Konami. Now, the publisher's rarely the most verbose or timely of companies, so its release date and whatnot are a mystery for now.

But still. Revengeance on PC. We lucky, lucky people. Here's the sort of fun we're getting:

Awesome, good to hear that Platinum was serious about wanting to bring their games to PC. I hope this sells a million copies, so they can bring Vanquish over.

hmm, with the next gen consoles being x86, I wonder if this will persuade more devs to make port their games to PC. I'll probably get a PS4...but a beastly PC might not be a bad alternative

I'd go for both, too many Sony-only games.

yep - i think it's pretty evident that Sony has learned how to do first party exclusives right.

But will Sony go for PC games. That is the question.

I would give my soul for a PC version of The Show.

I might have to get this just to support the trend. Do you know I've never played a Metal Gear game?

Even if you play this, you still won't have really played a Metal Gear game.

I had gotten lazy on getting it; now I'm happy. I'm hoping for a Bayonetta PC HD version, but that would need a miracle for Sega to feel confident enough to fund that.

Here's hoping that means a Shadow Complex port will come to PC. :[

Here's hoping for a sequel to Shadow Complex too! Or another game in a similar vein.

So glad I waited. Playing Dragon's Dogma on my 360 right now and wishing it was on PC. Even if developers do lazy PC ports, now-a-days fans pick up the slack. Running Dark Souls on my PC with an actual render resolution of 1080p is like night and day. For anyone who doesn't know about it, google dsfix.
