We may have a long wait for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ahead of us, but at least we should get plenty to keep us busy until then. CD Projekt RED today launched The Witcher 2's promised modding tool set, the REDkit, so hopefully all sorts of wonders and oddities are coming and heck, we can all make our own too.
RED briefly released the tools by accident last week, but now they're properly out for everyone at the official site. RED has a Wiki with tutorials, to get you started. The kit lets creators futz with the original game, as well as make their own new lands, quests, characters, items, non-linear adventures, and all that sort of stuff. It's the tool set RED itself used to make the game, after all.
If you demand mods now now now, check out Lykaon, a standalone story picked as the best mod made during the REDkit's closed beta test. And look, a launch trailer for REDkit:
