Injustice DLC expected on Wii U in summer

Injustice: Gods Among Us players on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are already battering faces with the first DLC character Lobo and will soon as Batgirl too, but what about the Wii U? After an uncomfortable silence, it's confirmed: DLC will indeed come to the Wii U, some time this summer.

"We expect DLC for the Wii U version of Injustice: Gods Among Us to be available this summer. Stay tuned for more details," the game's official Twitter account told a fan (via IGN).

It's a welcome change of message, as only an hour before it was fobbing fans off with an unhelpful boilerplate response, "We have not made any DLC announcements for Wii U."

On other consoles, Injustice is selling a DLC season pass of four extra fighters for $15. Lobo launched yesterday and Batgirl is next in line, to be properly revealed in a trailer next week.
