New Gran Turismo to be revealed next week
by Andrew Yoon, May 08, 2013 1:45pm PDTLooks like the official reveal of Gran Turismo 6 is set to happen next week. On May 15th, Sony plans on "celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo" at the Silverstone Circuit. "At the event, Kazunori Yamauchi will also be making some exciting announcements about the future of the brand," the PlayStation.Blog teases.
Developer Polyphony Digital has made no secret its plans to make GT6. However, the big question has been: what platform will it launch on?
Leaked retail listings have pinned it as a PS3 game, not a PS4 game. The video released by Sony today seems to suggest as much, as well. Notice, for example, the car that drives past the other vehicles labeled with previous GT games:
The video also ends with a PS3 system splash. However, the generic "Only on PlayStation" banner gives hope for some that perhaps this will be a dual-platform launch: on both PS3 and PS4.
