The promised upgrades to Diablo 3's cooperative play experience are out today with the new 1.0.8 patch, along with a bunch of adjustments to the classes, monsters and loot to make adventuring a bit easier.

Numerous matchmaking and social functions have been added to make it easier to find and hook up with friends. And once hooked up, Blizzard added functions to cut back on party members waiting around while other did tedious, yet necessary tasks. Now, players have the ability to mass identify magic items in your bags.

If monsters were knocking you around too much, a nerf has been applied. Hit points for monsters in multiplayer have been decreased by 20 percent per player. In addition, most classes had several spells and abilities buffed to do more damage. For a complete list of fixes and changes, you can check out the full patch notes.

I don't see it mentioned that it turns D3 into a worthy sequel of D2, so I'm going to assume that it still sucks cheesy cartoon ass.

That's a pretty poor assumption, but whatever gets your rocks off.

actually it's a pretty amazing one, considering its specificity, and one unique to that particular poster's presumably colorful imagination. Well done!

With the update, Blizzard has the balls to put the pre order incentive for the PS3 version in the downloading screen, wow slap in the face.

I know I'm going to regret asking this, but in what way is it a "slap in the face"? They're advertising it to people who may also want the game on a console...

Everything is a slap in the face. Especially after Blizzard completely abandoned D3 after release.

They've literally changed nothing since then.

I could understand the sentiment if the ad mentioned offline play.

Are the loot balance changes coming to the PC version?

Similar changes to loot in the pc version were mentioned in the last blog update.

What I think would be nice:
              1. Option to kill XP bonus for 1-59 while leveling for MP 1-10, so that you don't out-level the content.
              2. NV working while leveling. If I'm going to use gear I pick up instead of buying it, I'd like to be able to increase odds of getting better loot.
              3. At least one stash tab per character that is not shared.

Dude come on, Diablo is inherently a PC game. Plus the update adds more features that should of just been included. Then on top of that you are going to advertise a experience boosting helm for a pre order on a different platform. Do the math.

I've done the math and it's still a stupid comment.

using "slap in the face" on the internet should be punishable by literally being slapped in the face so hard your fall out of your chair

Is nothing NOT a "slap in the face" to gamers? Does that phrase even have meaning anymore?
