Ego Surfing
by Maarten Goldstein, Jul 16, 2000 8:24am PDTEver wanted to know what the Internet has stored about you? Such as your cybersex adventures back in 1998 or that whatever crazy stuff you did. There's a ZDNet article about a search engine called egosurf.com that will search all kinds of archives for references of your name such as newsgroup messages and news articles. It will also keep looking after the initial search, and inform you through email what it has found. I went and try the site but they were upgrading. But hey, if you really want to know how important you are maybe you should check this out later today heh.
