Next Mass Effect absorbs Kingdoms of Amalur talent
by Andrew Yoon, Apr 26, 2013 10:25am PDTBig Huge Games hasn't been able to catch a break. After the studio was shuttered due to the collapse of 38 Studios, many members of that team moved onto Impossible Studios--which was closed after Infinity Blade: Dungeons was put on hold. Members for that team are now making their way to BioWare Montreal, to work on the next Mass Effect game.
Internet sleuth Superannuation's new feature on Kotaku reveals that "several senior staffers" have moved to BioWare's game as leads. Colin Campbell will now serve as Mass Effect's lead level designer, while Ian Frazier will be lead gameplay designer.
In spite of the state of Electronic Arts as of late, hopefully their bad luck will end for this project.
