The America's Army series has served as a competent shooter and military recruitment tool, but like any franchise it needs updating from time to time. The next installment, titled America's Army: Proving Grounds, is due out this year and is currently seeking beta testers.

The beta sign-ups were announced on the game's Facebook site (via Joystiq). The beta site doesn't give details on when the beta will begin or how applicants will be selected, though it did give a head start on its forums implying that it may be first-come, first-served.
