Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut improvements staying on Wii U

The revamped boss fights of Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Director's Cut on Wii U won't make the jump from to its home platforms, I'm sorry to say. While Wii U players will get to sneak and hack through the expanded fights, the rest of us will be forever stuck shooting faces.

"Our goal right off the bat was not to make a port," designer Emile Pedneault told The Penny Arcade Report. "We really wanted to take this opportunity working on the game again to just change what was ehh, so-so with the game and bring some new features to the game."

So Eidos has tidied the graphics up a bit, made fancy touchscreen bits for the GamePad, integrated the DLC, and added audio commentary, New Game+ and a guide. And you won't see any of that on PC, Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, Pedneault said. Well gosh darn it, isn't that a shame?

Argh! This immensely sucks to hear. I would genuinely pay real money for a "Collector's Edition" (or something) with these improvements on PC.

This is good news. An exclusive, that's actually an exclusive. Amazing!

This will surely make Deus Ex more valuable on Wii U which is really cool. The gMe is already old, but this will really bring some needed fresh air to the Wii U environment.

Could be one possible game to get when I invest in s Wii U purchase possibly later this year.

        The game, not gMe.

I'd've never figured that out - thanks for the self-correction.

Translation: justify a full price tag for a game that's 2 years old.

This is not a good thing but certainly not a bad one either. It's just logical.

In other news, Metasparks is still upset that Diablo for the Playstation has not received the Hellfire expansion.

I bought the collector's edition on pc at full price when it launched so I'll be fine waiting until this version drops to $20. That's the limit I would pay for these new features sans the pc feature set (60fps, dx 11 tesselation, and mouse+kb support).

Don't worry, when the Wii U version sits on store shelves the updates will be made available to the PC in order to justify its development.
