EA apparently had plans at one point to release a new Road Rash game on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in 2010, but the game was ultimately scuttled. A former animator's resume revealed that the game was called Road Rash HD Remixed, and was in development from Backbone Entertainment.

Kotaku reports that the resume and description of the game pitch it as a "3D update of classic 2D combat racing IP."

This would be the third canceled Road Rash game since 2005. One from 2006 wasn't found until late 2009, and EA Montreal reportedly worked on another in 2007-2008. Original designer Dan Geisler recently said he would consider a Kickstarter campaign for a new Road Rash if the community was interested.

Well that's a damn shame. Though I fear the game could potentially become too complicated if it made the jump to full 3D. The Pseudo-3D of the day made it a lot easier to focus on combat.
