BioShock Infinite FPS boosted by up to 41% with new Nvidia drivers

As you rush to explore the floating of Columbia, don't be too hasty. Nvidia yesterday released new graphics card drivers which can boost BioShock Infinite performance by up to 41% (with certain system and settings, obviously), so you'll want to install them. The 314.22 WHQL drivers also boost Tomb Raider framerates by up to 71%. Gosh! If you have an Nvidia card, you'll want to install these.

Nvidia has whipped up all sorts of fancy graphs showing the spread of performance improvements over the last set of certified drivers. They're tested with specific settings so you may not see quite such large improvements, but either way it's good news.

As ever, the drivers are up for download on the official GeForce site.

It plays smoothly for me on medium, but now and then it freezes for a second or two, usually when going through a doorway or gate.

Same for me, with everything on ultra. It's really smooth until it loads a new area or something, then it stutters for a second or two... I don't think that has to do with drivers though. Overall framerate is good.

How is this anyway? Loved 1 hated 2 - and is it just a console port or really made for pc?

Pretty good so far, though for some reason my eyes get tired pretty fast when I'm playing it (and I play FPS games a lot etc.). Maybe I was just tired though, so we'll see. Some elements are so-so, but the gameplay has been fun enough so far, graphics look pretty great in general (with some very minor issues, like faces being too repetitive and not animated much) and story is intriguing so far too.

Anyway, I'll post more when I finish it (which I'm sure I will, at this rate).

I get this SAME thing using the newest drivers. The framerate dips VERY low in some areas, for some reason
