DuckTales Remastered coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U
by Andrew Yoon, Mar 22, 2013 10:13am PDTThe classic world of DuckTales is coming back in a brand new game. DuckTales Remastered is being developed by WayForward Technologies and will be published by Capcom. It will be available for download this summer on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and eShop for Wii U for $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points).
The "Remastered" game is a full HD remake of the classic 2D NES game. Polygon reports that the game will feature hand-drawn sprites running around in a 3D world. In addition to new visuals, the game will have a remastered soundtrack and a new tutorial.
"We'll have so much more to show in the months ahead," Capcom posted on its official blog. "Including the game's new controls, additional areas, a Duckburg museum to track your progress, remixes of some of the most classic videogame music of all-time, and my personal favorite... A MONEY BIN YOU CAN ACTUALLY SWIM IN!"
To much delight of longtime fans of the Disney series, the surviving voice talent from the show will be reunited for the game. Alan Young, the voice of Scrooge McDuck will be reprising his role. "We're literally pouring our heart and soul into this title," said Capcom's Rey Jimenez. "It's going to play just like you remember."
