Anachronox Snipping

PC Format is running a story Anachronox, the ION Storm RPG may be cut in half to get the game out as soon as possible. Current design will have the game in development into the next year, something Eidos isn't keen on seeing happening, as they apparently can't afford it. The part of the game that isn't shipping would appear in a future release. Here are the E3 screenshots and the older archive of screenshots from the game. Thanks Blues News.
Update ION's Brian "Squirrel" Eiserloh updated his .plan with word that Eidos did not order a cut of the game, but that the Anachronox team decided to do this, over a year ago. Here's a snip

There was an excellent stopping-point in the story about halfway through (in which one set of issues gets resolved but another can of worms is opened), and this point now serves as the (excellent) conclusion of Anachronox. The second half of the story - for which a substantial amount of art and level-work have already been created - is planned for a seperate release
