Company of Heroes 2 release pushed back to June 25
by John Keefer, Mar 06, 2013 8:00am PSTCompany of Heroes 2 was originally slated to come out this month, but the bankruptcy of former publisher THQ and the subsequent sale of developer Relic Entertainment to Sega has pushed the game's release date back to June 25.
"We hate to disappoint our fans with a later than expected date as we know they are eager to play but we feel that the additional time will help the team deliver the high quality sequel they deserve," said Greg Wilson, the game's producer, said in the announcement. "However, the wait won't be long as players will soon be able to help us test and balance multiplayer in the upcoming Closed Beta. Details will follow shortly."
Three months isn't that much of a delay given the fact that a new publisher is controlling the game and everything is still settling from the sale, so hopefully Sega is fairly satisfied with the game's direction. It still remains high on my list of most anticipated games of the year.
