EA closes BioWare San Francisco
by Steve Watts, Mar 05, 2013 3:15pm PSTBioWare San Francisco has been shut down. Originally known as EA2D, the mobile and social studio was known for games like Dragon Age: Legends and Mirror's Edge 2D. It was eventually brought into the BioWare umbrella in August of 2011.
GamesRadar initially cited a source who claims EA deemed mobile development "too expensive" in Redwood Shores, California. IGN subsequently confirmed the report, adding that the closure will affect nearly 30 people.
