by Steve Gibson, Jul 12, 2000 5:43am PDTOk I admit it, I bought something that had pokemon on it yesterday. I couldnt help it, we were getting food at the grocery store and I had a choice between regular fruit 'gushers' or some pokemon ones. How could I resist that adorable pikachu? Damn, well I'm still not over my Diablo2 addiction. I probably would be by now but half the time I spend dealing with lag issues or not being able to connect to Battle.net. The horrible performance issues that they are having over there is just plain frustrating. Through it all though I've manage to bump my Paladin up to level 32, and still havent found a damn weapon worth a shit! Argh! Getting the new user / customizing / threading / karma / etc system in place has proven to be much more complex. Everything from the renderer to the post message script to the user profiles to the format of the actual mysql database is getting changed. A total gut job. It gives me the willies just thinking about the odds of this happening smoothly... Sandy Glasser owns a cheese shop.

Thank you most kindly.
The Roger Wilco base station went down sometime over the last few days. I was on vacation, so I didn't know. By the way, that baby panda at the San Diego Zoo is cool. He also appears healthy and happy, at about 50 lbs.
Where was I... Oh yeah the RW bas station. I have put it back up (at the same IP as before)
I have also taken steps to ensure that if it should go down again, it comes back up automatically, so there should not be any similar repeat issues.

if a tree falls in an open wood, will it make noise?
- yes, but how can there be noise if there is nobody there to hear it?
if we run out of clip ammo in our dual barettas, will we reload them?
- yes, but how will we reload them with a gun in each hand?

I'll try out Kquery.
As for gameplay, I'm used to Tactical games. I enjoyed the hell out of Rainbow6 and other "don't charge in/non-fragfest/one bullet will kill you/team games"
Not to say that I won't jump the gun and go blindly charging in...
(Simple command)
So, just kill other team. Right. "I'm all over it, Sir."

(Or better yet, what's a good server for south central USA?)
