by Ozzie Mejia, Mar 01, 2013 11:00am PSTWith Jeff Cannata still in Barcelona, Garnett Lee is joined this week by Xav De Matos and Andrea Rene. They bring the PlayStation 4 conversation to its conclusion with some final thoughts on last week's presentation event. That's followed by thoughts on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3, and some early thoughts on this week's Assassin's Creed 4 news. And as always, a new round of Finishing Moves will ring in the weekend.

Do people playing on consoles think about how much 'worse' the graphics are?
Farcry 3 looks amazing on my PS3. I've got nothing else to compare it to. I guess I intellectually know it would look better on a PC but I don't have one so *shrugs* it's not something that crosses my mind. I just climb the mountain, hop on the hand-glider, and say 'Wow! Look at that view!'
And Xav then said, if that's the case, why would gamers care that the PS4 has better graphics? Tongue-in-cheek question I'm sure :) But for completion... obviously not owning a PC doesn't mean that I don't _want_ better graphics. Just that I can't afford (and don't particularly want) to buy and maintain a gaming PC.
This all links in to something I've been thinking about recently... Reviewers own multiple gaming platforms and play most games that come out. Whereas most gamers I know have far fewer options and buy less games. I know everyone can only review from their own perspective but I think reviewers do have a different perspective, in this respect, than most gamers.
(Show feedback for Garnett?) It would help though if, for each game, the platforms it's on are included in the review. Nothing worse than realising a game is exclusively on a platform you don't own (e.g. PC) after you've got excited about it!
