Xbox 360 'Spring Value' Bundles hitting retail for $299

Microsoft has released yet another Xbox 360 SKU to retail. The "Spring Value Bundle" includes a 250GB Xbox 360 with two games: Darksiders 2 and Batman: Arkham City. In addition to the standard wireless controller, wired headset, the bundle will also include one month of Xbox Live Gold for $299. If you're thinking to yourself, "that's not an especially great deal," you'd be correct. Last year, Microsoft launched a similar "Holiday Bundle" for the same price. Those bundles also included two games in addition to the standard 250GB model. But hey, maybe you want to follow the advice of this Xbox Dashboard ad, and buy a second Xbox.

      This is terrible. Both games can be had for almost nothing and Darksiders 2 sucked on penises

  I had no intention of getting a 2nd XBOX but when we bought a TV two years ago this month, they had a "gamer's" special @ FutureShop (when you bought this certain TV) and I got our 2nd XBOX 360 (a black Elite 500GB) for $299 $99 Cdn.
  
  On another note, I'm waiting for some sweet deals on PS3s. I'd like to get another one for Bluray/gaming downstairs. They had them for $179 last month @ FutureShop (160GB I think, not concerned about HDD space) but it was bad timing.

  with an annoucement of the next console around the corner this should be closer to $200 or even $100. be really dumb to buy a new console now if you're not replacing a broken one
