Weekend Confirmed 153 - PlayStation 4 announcements, Year Walk, Crysis 3
by Jeff Mattas, Feb 22, 2013 11:00am PSTThe PlayStation 4 has been announced, so it shouldn't be a surprise that this week's episode of Weekend Confirmed is all about the new system, services, and software. Though Jeff Cannata is away in Barcelona, Garnett Lee and "Indie" Jeff Mattas are joined by Christian Spicer and Mike Schramm to break down what's exciting, what's concerning, and that which is still unknown about Sony's next-gen console announcements. Though PlayStation 4 is this week's focus, the crew also manages to sneak in some impressions of Crysis 3, and praise for Simogo's moody iOS adventure, Year Walk. Of course, a fresh batch of Finishing Moves brings it all home.

I also don't understand Garnet's reaction to Johnathan Blow, when Sony doing that directly answers like half problems he raises on Weekend Confirmed week after week.
"We need variable pricing in games. Jeff please spend the next 20 minutes talking about the indie f2p iphone game Blip Bloop because that is clearly such an entertaining thing to talk about. And then Jeff is like "yeahhh maaan, in the game you're popping these cartoon balloons and its like this deep emotional metaphor about arms trading and slavery in Ugandaa." And who can forget the grandaddy lol moment of them all when he said he would pay $500 for Flower. I mean hello?
He was just gushing about Far Cry 3 last month. I personally am at the point where I would rather watch a trailer for Killzone Shadow Fall than play Far Cry 3. God knows I'm sick of fps games, but at least Killzone advances the industry's rendering capabilities. And sorry I'm not going to buy a $700 Windows PC from Dell anymore than I'm going invest a bunch of slip cases for my CD collection. Its 2013 and Google exists.
