Having already made its way to the PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and PC, indie developer Vblank Entertainment's Retro City Rampage is poised to release for Nintendo's WiiWare service on February 28. This means the game will also be playable on Wii U through the Wii eShop in Wii Mode. Additionally, a prototype version of the game, called ROM City Rampage (which is playable in the in-game arcade) will be included in this release. The additional content will also hit the PC Steam port of the game via a free, automatic update.

According to Polygon, the new WiiWare version will let players use the Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, Wii Remote, or GameCube controllers. If using the WiiMote, players will be able to pick up and throw stuff in-game via motion controls.

The WiiWare version of Retro City Rampage will cost 1000 Wii Points--a mere $10 in real-world currency.

should I keep going with this game? I played a bit with the PS3 version, but it hasn't really gotten fun yet, and a bit too try-hard on cramming in as many references as it can

All of the reference have a tinge of cheesiness, but in my opinion, that works to the game's favor.
