Players who aren't ready to stop adventuring with Commander Shepard and his Mass Effect 3 team will get one final chance to tag along with the interstellar hero. BioWare has announced the final two DLC packs for the game, Citadel and Reckoning.

Reckoning, which will be released on February 26, is a free multiplayer pack that will introduce new character kits and weapons, while Citadel will be a single-player campaign aboard the space station. Coming March 5, Citadel will cost $14.99 (1200 MS points).

"The team has poured heart and soul into Mass Effect 3: Reckoning and Mass Effect 3: Citadel. As the launch of these chapters near, the feeling around the studio is bittersweet," said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series. "We have always been humbled and driven by the passion of our fans for the Mass Effect trilogy. We hope fans will enjoy spending more time with some of their favorite characters--we have certainly enjoyed spending time creating them. We're excited to release this final sendoff for the trilogy and move forward into the future of the Mass Effect universe."

BioWare is already working on the next game, and has already revealed that the "future" of the Mass Effect universe won't include Shepard. Development will be in the hands of BioWare Montreal.

apparently two prior DLC are crucial for plot/story understanding and clarification. ideally EA will release a gold DLC pack. for $19.99. so I can get them all.

I waited years for ME2 to have some kind of bundle or discount, and it never happened.

I'm doubting that they will have any deals with ME3.

That's cool. I've been getting back into the ME3 multiplayer recently. It's still fun, and the new content really fleshes out the mode. In the end, I would have been happy with more variety to the enemies and the waves, but considering all the different expansions have been free, I'm not complaining too much.

I should really start the single player some time...

Paging Wadmassi, Wadmassi you're needed in the ME3 MP Store to drop millions of credits.

Sweet. Here's hoping this means they'll finally do a game + all DLC bundle and I'll buy it on sale.
