Baldur's Gate Enhanced coming to Mac this week
by Steve Watts, Feb 20, 2013 9:00am PSTBaldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is coming to Mac this Friday, February 22. It will be available directly from the publisher Beamdog at first, but is planning to release sometime later in the Mac App Store. The game costs $19.99.
The Mac version sports the same new features as the already available PC version: new allies, enhanced visuals and controls, The Black Pits arena challenge, and cross-platform cooperative multiplayer. It's available now for pre-order.
"The development of the Mac version of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition has been a longer process than we had planned," said Beamdog president Trent Oster in the announcement. "We strove to create a high quality release for the Mac fans of the series and we feel proud of the current version and feel the extra development time was effort well spent."
