MLB 2K13, NBA 2K13 coming as $80 combo set

If you're an all-arounder who enjoys the many flavors of sports, you'll be pleased to know you can get a bargain on your annual dose of baseball and basketball this year. MLB 2K13 and NBA 2K13 are coming as a combo pack on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be available for $79.99 on March 5.

Each game individually costs $59.99, so if you were planning to buy them both anyway you get a cool $40 discount. MLB 2K13 will come with the "Perfect Pitch Challenge" just like the regular game, so you can compete for a share of $1 million by pitching a perfect (virtual) game.

2K Sports' NBA title is running unopposed this year, since EA canceled NBA Live 13. Baseball is a more competitive market, at least on the PlayStation 3, as the MLB The Show series has been enjoying critical success recently. MLB The Show 13 is coming out on March 5 too, so it will go face-to-face against 2K's game.
