Report: Watch Dogs for 'all home consoles' coming holiday 2013
by Steve Watts, Feb 15, 2013 11:45am PSTEver since we first saw Watch Dogs at Ubisoft's 2012 E3 press conference, rumors have been swirling that it's a next-gen console game. The developer has played it straight, confirming the game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but it seems we could be in for a transitional release.
Kotaku reports that a leaked poster for the game says it will be available for "all home consoles" when it launches this holiday season. The back of the poster quotes G4 calling it "a truly next-gen adventure," which while not a quote from Ubisoft, is an interesting one to choose to promote the game.
It seems like the publisher is positioning the game for release on the next consoles from Sony and Microsoft, both of which are expected to launch this year. Sony will likely be unveiling its next-gen plans at an event next week, so the timing is right for Ubisoft to start preparing its marketing materials.
Then again, this could just be Ubisoft's way of saying it's coming to Wii U.
