Deadpool targeting summer release
by Steve Watts, Feb 13, 2013 9:30am PSTDeadpool, coming from Transformers developer High Moon Studios, has narrowed its release window down to a season. The fourth-wall-breaking "Merc with a Mouth" will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime this summer.
The release target was spotted in ads in comic books by Deadpool Bugle (via Joystiq) last week. It's still a wide range, but it's significantly shorter than the vague "2013" mention we had before.
Deadpool is known for his self-aware commentary on comic books, being one of the few major comic characters to regularly acknowledge that he's in a work of fiction. This could have some fun applications in a video game, so hopefully High Moon doesn't play his story too straight. Other Marvel characters, like Cable, Domino, and Death, will also be making an appearance.
