Last Guardian director says to 'keep an eye out' for release details
by Steve Watts, Feb 13, 2013 9:00am PSTWord on The Last Guardian has been awfully quiet lately, as the latest we've heard has been about technical difficulties way back in June. We may be close to more information, though, as the game's creative director has told eager fans to "keep an eye out" for official release details.
In a note on his website (via Polygon) creative director Fumito Ueda stressed that the decision of when and how to share more info isn't his to make.
"While it's been a long time coming, The Last Guardian remains under my creative supervision and is still in development by an incredibly talented team," he said. "I should also mention that details regarding The Last Guardian's release is [sic] solely decided by Sony Computer Entertainment, not myself. Please keep an eye out for their official announcement."
That's far from a promise, but it implies that Sony has some sort of announcement plan. One possible venue for an announcement is next week's PlayStation Future event, where the company is expected to debut its next console. If not there, we may be waiting until E3 to see the long-awaited game get its due.
