BioWare founders to get Lifetime Achievement Award at GDC
by John Keefer, Feb 11, 2013 3:30pm PSTRay Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk may have retired from game development, but the founders of BioWare will be getting some well-deserved recognition next month for "some of the most emotionally-engaging and beloved games ever made."
The doctors will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on March 27, honoring their work on such franchises as Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Star Wars. "There's no denying the deep footprint Ray and Greg have made, and how much their dedication and leadership will be missed in our industry," said Meggan Scavio, General Manager of all GDC events, in a release.
Muzyka has been spending his time investing in technology, new media, medical innovation and social entrepreneurs at his new company Threshold Impact, while Zeschuk has gotten deep into beer with The Beer Diaries, highlighting craft breweries around the world.
