Rage tool kit available today
by Steve Watts, Feb 08, 2013 9:00am PSTThe long-awaited tool kit for Rage is coming today, id Software has announced. The whopping 35 GB of mod kit includes idStudio, tutorials, and a variety of game maps and assets to get you started making your own content for the 2011 title.
The kit will be available on Steam later today, but in the meantime the Bethesda Blog has released a FAQ (PDF). It covers the basics and some possible technical problems you may run into.
Don't expect your modding progress to be quick and painless, though. "Doing significant work will require patience, because internally we use a 300 core renderfarm for megatexture creation," id's John Carmack said on Twitter.

If you have a save from the end of the game, you can continue after the ending, go back to Wellspring and run the Scorchers missions.
If you don't have a save, you can restart and just do the new missions after you do the mission or two that always start the game (maybe some extra stuff if you need money, I don't know).
If you liked Rage, you'll like the DLC.
