Dead Space 3 getting 'Awakened' DLC in March
by Steve Watts, Feb 05, 2013 8:15am PSTDead Space 3 executive producer Steve Papoutsis already dropped some vague hints about story-based downloadable content for the game. As it hits stores today, Visceral has decided this is the perfect time to share a few more details, including the name and launch window -- and not much else.
The content will be called "Awakened," and it will be available on all platforms sometime in March for $9.99 (800 MSP). It suggests players will "experience the franchise's darkest chapters as the Necromorph battles become even more gruesome and terrifying than ever before."
The announcement doesn't give further details on the story of this story-based DLC, presumably because it would give away something or other about the main game just as it's becoming available in stores. Given the name, we're going to assume it has something to do with Isaac taking a long overdue and much-deserved nap.
Check out our single-player review for some thoughts on the gruesome and terrifying main game.
