Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4 revealed
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 25, 2013 2:00pm PSTRetro RPG specialist Zeboyd Games has revealed the final chapter of its webcomic spin-off, Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 4. The fourth in the series, which the indie team took over from Hothead with part 3, will boast treats including a more open world and more Zeboyd influence upon the story.
"Many fans complained that they felt that the third game was too linear. Because of this, we've added more optional areas in the fourth game and have tried to add more secrets and secondary routes to the main dungeons," Robert Boyd told IGN.
"The other major feedback we've tried to take into account for the fourth game was the complaint that it was too easy to find a winning strategy early on in the game and then use that strategy with few adjustments throughout the entire game. We've made a number of adjustments, both small and not so small, to try to encourage the player to play around with a number of different setups and strategies as the game progresses."
PAOTRSPOD4 is slated to hit PC and Xbox Live Indie Games this spring at $4.99.
Zeboyd has already dropped a few hints about its next game after PA4, a sci-fi, spy-themed RPG with a female protagonist, mechs, spaceships, lasers, and all that jazz.
