by Steve Watts, Jan 24, 2013 6:15pm PSTGod of War: Ascension seems like a safe bet for Sony, given that it's the next game in a long-running and popular franchise with one of its most identifiable characters. Just in case that isn't enough, though, the company is sweetening the pot with early access to the demo of another anticipated exclusive, The Last of Us.
The PlayStation Blog announced today that Ascension discs will have a "Last of Us" listing on the main menu, which will detail how to download the game demo once it's out. The post doesn't sound as if the demo will be available as when God of War launches on March 12, but it promises you'll get it as soon as it's available, and earlier than anyone else to boot. The Last of Us launches on May 7.
