How big is The Last of Us? Naughty Dog's PS3 swan song is an event so momentous that it needs not one, but two special editions.

Sure, you can pick up the game for $60 when it launches on May 7th. But, for $20 more, you'll be able to upgrade to the "Survival Edition" of the game. This special edition includes The Art of The Last of Us, a full-sized hardcover art book by Dark Horse. This book will also be available as a standalone product at retail for $40.

The "Survival Edition" also packs issue one of The Last of Us: American Dreams, a prequel comic series that delves into Ellie's back story. You'll also get a Steelbook cover, featuring Ellie and Joel, and the "Sights & Sound" DLC pack, previously announced as a pre-order bonus.

That certainly sounds like a well-rounded package of goodies. However, the true fan will pick up the "Post-Pandemic Edition," which goes for $150. In addition to all the extras included in the $80 pack, this will also include a 12" premium statue of Joel and Ellie by Project Triforce. You can peep it on the PlayStation.Blog. In addition, you'll get the "Survival" DLC pack, which includes a number of multiplayer bonuses. This set is only available at GameStop, while the "Survival Edition" should be available at a number of other retailers.
