Grand Theft Auto 5 PC listed on retail sites

UK and French versions of retail site Amazon have listed Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC, a hint that the game may be coming to the platform after all.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has only been confirmed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, a fact that has caused some degree of consternation among PC fans. Though Rockstar still hasn't made anything official, European retailers may have tipped their hand.

Both the UK and French arms of Amazon (via CVG) are now listing the game for the PC. The French site actually has a price listed and pre-orders running, while the UK one only has availability notifications.

Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser has previously said that other versions, aside from PS3 and 360, are "up for consideration" if they can be assured of an "appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market." PC fans started a petition in hopes of showing Rockstar that the game has interest on the platform, which has so far reached approximately 145,000 signatures -- 5,000 short of its goal.

None of the other Red Dead games made it to PC so there is no reason to think RDR will. It is sad to say that considering its a really good game.

I remember seeing Fake Preorder boxes for Duke Nukem Forever for years in some stores. Their might be some truth to this but you still have to take it with a huge grain of salt. Stores have sold preorders to non-existent games before.

They had GTA 5 PC boxes on the shelves at my local EB Games (Australia) a few weeks ago. Didn't think anything of it as they usually do that and it means nothing.
