Battleblock Theater beta applications open
by Andrew Yoon, Jan 16, 2013 3:45pm PSTIt's been yonks since The Behemoth has released a game. However, you'll soon be able to get your hands on their next XBLA game, Battleblock Theater. You just have to jump through a lot of hoops first.
The developer is currently taking registrations for the game's closed beta. 10,000 registrants will be selected to participate in the beta, which will take place in February and March. In order to participate, you'll need to have an active Xbox Live Gold account, access to The Behemoth's forums, and agree to a NDA. Crucially, you'll promise to fulfill the "Beta Testing Task List," which includes checking your e-mail daily, reporting issues, and complete daily tasks. In addition, every day will end with a survey that must be submitted on the same day.
Essentially, this beta will make you work--not unlike what betas used to be like, before they turned into glorified demos meant exclusively for PR purposes. If you'd like to throw your hat in for a chance at the game, click here.
